AIKMAN RATINGS
Through Week 15
For the fourth consecutive week, we have the status quo of New England atop the Aikman Offense and Aikman Combined Ratings, while the Bears continue to lead in Aikman Defense.
Chicago’s lead continues to dwindle though, and this week they face the team that stands just 1.8 points behind them, the Cardinals. One advantage for the Bears in Sunday’s game is that they will be facing an Arizona team that also has the NFL’s lowest-rated Aikman Offense.
The Patriots fell below 100 in Aikman Offense for the first time since Week 11, but still remain above the record of 99.0 (since 1995) that they themselves set in 2007.
While the top three in the Aikman Combined remained unchanged despite San Francisco’s win over New England, the Seahawks continued their recent rise from the middle of the pack. Having outscored their opponents 108-17 the last two weeks among other dominant stats, they have moved from 10th to 4th in that span.
The Falcons also surged this week. They were 10th in the Aikman Combined before they shut out the Giants; now they are 5th.
On the other hand, it has been a bad two weeks for Tampa Bay. After losses to Philadelphia and New Orleans, the Buccaneers have dropped from 8th to 15th.
