AIKMAN RATINGS
Through Week 5
The Texans remain in first place in the Aikman Combined Ratings through five weeks, although the teams with the top Aikman Offense and Aikman Defense have moved closer in second and third place. The Bears, in third last week, jumped into second ahead of the Patriots after a strong performance against Jacksonville. The Patriots continue to have the top Aikman Offense.
Also moving up, into 4th, were the 49ers, who had the highest Aikman Game Score of Week 5 (128.5 on offense, while holding the Bills to a 49.9 mark with their defense).

One note of interest – the eight teams with the lowest ranking in the Aikman Combined are all in the AFC. Not among the lowly eight are the 2-3 Dolphins, who are showing Aikman strength by moving up to 10th, ahead of traditional powerhouses like the Steelers and Eagles, after their victory over Cincinnati.
